12 Days Of Christmas

We are celebrating the festive season with 12 Days of Christmas in the form of charitable giveaways. We wish our recipients a Merry Christmas and thank them for work that they do. Please check back daily for our twelve recipients.

 

C1 South plays an active role in supporting the disability community and believes that giving back and supporting worthy causes is an integral part of our company values.

 

We have supported community groups, organisations, and individuals on a local, national and international scale, and were awarded Best Community Impact at the 2017 Business Excellence Forum and Awards. Vist our Facebook page for more information.

Hamilton North School (www.hamnorth.school.nz) is a specialist learning centre that enables all students to develop their potential with regards to their abilities, to foster skills and provide opportunities, which allow them to successfully integrate into our multicultural society. We have donated products from our Aids for Daily Living range.

 

 

DAY2.jpgThe Salvation Army Food Bank (www.salvationarmy.org.nz) provides food packages to those facing hardship and struggle. Donating money or food to the Salvation Army or food bank will help provide people in need with the most basic neccessities. We have donated a shopping trolley full of food.

Star Jam (www.starjam.org) purpose is to create empowering performance opportunities for young people with disabilities (the ‘Jammers’) to learn and develop skill sets, gain confidence, and build friendships - experiences that they may not have had the opportunity to do before due to their disability. We have made a donation.

SPCA (www.rnzspca.org.nz) is a charity that helps protect animals who are sick, injured, lost, abused or simply abandoned. Every year, their 40 SPCA Centres across the country receive over 45,000 animals through their doors and 14,000 animal welfare complaints. We have donated Urine Off.

Grant Philip (www.philip.net.nz) became a tetraplegic after experiencing a diving accident in 1989, and has since established an impressive portfolio of sporting and recreational achievements as a Para Shooter. We have sent Grant a donation to help him with his goal to compete at the Invictus Games. We wish you the best of luck!

Patricia Avenue School (www.patave.school.nz) is a specialist school for children and young people aged 5-21 who have intellectual disability. The teachers work closely with a team of therapists to meet the needs of their students. We have donated products from our Aids for Daily Living range for the students and a treat for the staff.

Assistance Dogs New Zealand Trust (www.assistancedogstrust.org.nz) aims to enrich the lives of people living with disability by providing purpose bred and trained assistance dogs, to meet the unique needs of each individual client and family. The service dogs assist people with disabilities such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Diabetes and more. We are sponsoring a puppy in the Gifted Puppy Programme.

Diabetes Youth Waikato (www.diabeteswaikato.com) is part of Diabetes NZ and is a support group for young diabetics up to 25 years old. They are committed to promoting the principals of good health and well-being of all young people with diabetes and their families. We have sent a donation to go towards to their youth camps.

Multiple Sclerosis Society of New Zealand (www.msnz.org.nz) is a non-profit organisation formed to advocate systemic change so people with MS in New Zealand have access to first world treatment, resources and services to improve their well-being and quality of life. We have sent MS Society a donation.

Mitch Wilson (www.facebook.com/mitchwilsonparacyclist) is an inspiring young paracyclist with a goal to compete at the Paralympics. Mitch was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2012 and as a result, had become legally blind. Just two years later, Mitch began his journey as a paracyclist. We have sent Mitch a donation to help him get to the next Paralympics.

Parkinson's Waikato (www.parkinsons.org.nz) provides a comprehensive service through education, information and support for all people with Parkinson's, their caregivers, friends and families. We have sent Parkinson's Waikato SpillNot's and a donation.

 

DAY12.jpgStroke Foundation of New Zealand (www.stroke.org.nz) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to reducing the incidence of stroke, improving treatment outcomes, and supporting those affected by stroke. For our twelfth and final day of charitable giveaways, we have sent them a donation of $500.
